Tammy Hembrow has cut the asking price of her Gold Coast mansion by $350,000 in a bid to attract buyers amid market uncertainty. The Australian influencer initially listed her Broadbeach Waters residence in July for $4.35 million negotiable.

The property was passed in at an auction in September for under $4 million. Despite interest from several conditional buyers, no deal could be reached, prompting the price reduction to $4 million negotiable.

According to Ray White selling agent Jay Helprin, “We’re on the market and motivated to sell.” He noted that many potential buyers are waiting to see how the property market plays out.

Hembrow bought the waterfront property for $2.88 million in 2020 and has lived there with her children. The property features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a riverfront setting.

The price discount comes just days after the Reserve Bank of Australia delivered another interest rate hike – the fifth increase this year. This has added to property market headwinds, particularly across Queensland.

A recent report found that Brisbane, the Gold Coast‘s northern neighbour, is now one of Australia’s weakest-performing capital city housing markets. However, Helprin believes that now is the best time to buy, as astute buyers can take advantage of the current market uncertainty.

Hembrow has shared glimpses of her home on social media, showcasing its interiors, pool, and riverfront setting. She has expressed her love for the property, stating that it makes her happy and gives her a sense of calm and peace.

The fitness influencer rose to fame in 2014 after documenting her fitness journey through her pregnancies online. She launched a fitness program in 2015, which grew into her popular app, and has since amassed 20 million followers on social media.

Helprin’s statement suggests that they are motivated to sell the property. The reduction in price is likely to attract more buyers, as the property market continues to experience uncertainty.

The Gold Coast property market has been affected by the interest rate hikes, with many buyers waiting to see how the market will play out. However, Hembrow’s property is a unique offering, with its riverfront setting and luxurious features.
