ENOCH, Utah — Eight people, including five minors, were found fatally shot at a Utah residence on Wednesday, authorities said.

Police in Enoch were carrying out a welfare check when officers found bodies inside the house, KSL-TV reported. Each person had gunshot wounds, according to KSTU-TV.
“At this time, we do not believe there is a threat to the public or that there are any large suspects,” the Enoch Police Department said in a news release. “This investigation is still active and more information will be provided at a later time.”

The circumstances leading up to the shooting were unclear as of Wednesday night. Police did not release the names or ages of the victims.
Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson tweeted her condolences.
“What a tragedy. I’m praying for the community of Enoch tonight,” the governor said tweeted.
